General Entry Requirements
Modernage accommodates students in three categories:
The new admissions from Play group till 9th are offered before the commencement of the academic year from June to August and are considered on seats available basis. The new admissions for Intermediate classes are made in the month of May. With the exception of transfer cases, no admissions are normally made in classes X and XII.
The standing and grades in previous class, the recommendations of teachers, and the scores in the written test and interview administered by the Entrance Examination Board of Modernage determine a candidate’s right to admission.
How to Apply
The Admission Application Form along with College Prospectus can be obtained by hand for Pak Rs 300/- or through post on payment of Pak Rs. 350/-
The Application Form must be completed and sent back for registration to the Office of Admission along with the required documents by the last date for submission. Applications submitted after the due date will be considered on space available basis. Applicants may also submit their applications electronically through the form available on the web page.
Each application received is reviewed and a Registration Slip is issued. If, however, the Registration Slip is not received in a reasonable amount of time, applicants should contact the Office of Admission by phone or letter or E-mail.
All the admissions are consummated through written test and interview, dates of which are notified through the Registration Slip. The written test is based on the courses of study meant for the previous class. The prospective candidates are examined in the following subjects each carrying 50 marks: Class Subject Duration Pre Nursery & Nursery Intelligence/Picture Test 15 minutes Prep to V Eng, Urdu, Math ½ hour each VI to IX Eng, Urdu, Math, G.Sci ½ hour each XI Eng, Urdu, Bio/Math, Comp/Chem, Phy ½ hour each
The candidates securing at least than 40 % marks in the written test are required to appear for an interview before the Admission Committee for final selection. The list of successful candidates is displayed on the College notice board on specified dates. For those who plan to visit the campus, the Office of Admission hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Office of Admission is closed on Sunday. Please call to make an appointment
Transfer Admission
Students seeking to transfer to Modernage must be in good standing, academically and otherwise, at the institution they have previously attended. Transference is permitted only if is in accordance with the rules and regulations of transfer as laid down by The Abbottabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. A transfer student may be required to pass an examination to determine his/her readiness to enter a certain class. The remaining requirements to be fulfilled by transfer students will be determined on individual basis.
International Student Information
Modernage has been actively involved in the education of international students, especially from Pakistani families settled abroad. International students whose native language is not English are required to provide evidence of proficiency in written and spoken English. Financial aid is generally not available to international students. The remaining rules and regulations are the same as those stated for regular candidates.
Withdrawal and Discharge
The intended withdrawal of a child should be reported in writing to the Principal one month in advance or in lieu thereof, one month’s fee will be charged. Notice of withdrawal during the winter vacation must be submitted before 31st July else the student’s name will be transferred to his/her new class for the new academic year. No school leaving certificate or any other kind of certificate will be issued until all the fees and other dues have been paid. |
